From the “The 2017 Governors Ball after The Oscars”:
To toast the evening, the revered French Champagne house Piper-Heidsieck served their Limited Edition 89th Oscars Champagne. Magnum bottles are enrobed in red and have a design of gold encircling the bottle. It’s a beautiful blend of Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier and Chardonnay offering sparkling light gold and fine bubbles. The aroma of pear and apple dominate the flavor profile.
They also offered a rare 1998 Magnum made from 70% Chardonnay and 30% Pinot Noir. This black and gold bottle has an elegant essence of sandalwood, gingerbread and orange blossom.
