Brut Vintage 2006

The Brut Vintage 2006 is an elegantly charming champagne, precisely selected from 16 Grand and Premier Crus, from a challenging yet rewarding year.  The year was marked by highly contrasted weather:  a heat wave followed by thunderstorms and hail.  The Pinot Noirs were exceptionally intense while the Chardonnay was ready for a long maturation.  As such, the proportion of Pinot Noir was reduced compared to past years.  The wine patiently aged six years in the House’s cellars to reach the perfect balance and express this vintage’s elegance and charm.

Grape Varieties: 49% Pinot Noir, 51% Chardonnay
Winemaking: The wine goes through alcoholic fermentation in September and October, followed by malolactic fermentation from October to December. Blending takes place from February to April, followed by racking in January.
Aging: Aged for a minimum of 6 years.

Crystal-clear pale lemon color

Intense and enticing aromas of dried apricots with notes of red and black berries and a hint of spices.

Generous structure of candied orange peel enhanced with smoked tea and toasted almonds. An incredibly long finish.
