The Gold Knight featured Piper-Heidsieck in the January 27, 2020 article Oscars 2020: Nominees Celebrated at Luncheon, Take ‘Oscar Class Photo’.
“Nominees and invited guests dined on some delicious food. This year’s menu was 100 percent plant-based. Each table shared vegan cheese; a “berry basket” crudite with hummus, fruit and dark chocolate; and vegan bread and lavosh. The first course featured gem lettuce, roasted beets, endive, winter citrus, micro herbs and a citrus shallot vinaigrette. For the main course, nominees dined on a roasted maitake mushroom, forbidden black rice, winter squash, cauliflower and red curry. For the family-style dessert, there was a tangerine yuzu pate de fruit, macaroons, a vanilla and chocolate “HoHo” and kumquat pavlova. The wine list featured Francis Ford Coppola Reserve 2018 Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. For extra bubbly, there was the annual staple: Piper-Heidsieck Cuvee Brut Champagne.”
