Rare Millésime 2002
The Rare Millésime 2002 is a luxurious, classical Cuvée – structured, full-bodied and bursting with fruit. Created with a majority of Chardonnay grapes from the Montagne de Reims region and complemented with Pinot Noir grapes from the same region, this wine is a blend of 17 crus that matured for at least seven years in the House’s cellars. The 2002 vintage is synonymous with richness and generosity.
Grape varieties: 70% Chardonnay, 30% Pinot Noir
Winemaking: The wine goes through alcoholic fermentation in September and October, followed by malolactic fermentation from October to December. Blending takes place from February to April, followed by racking in January.
Aging: Aged for a minimum of seven years.
Sparkling crystal-clear yellow gold enlivened by a delicate, shimmering effervescence.
Delicate notes of exotic fruit, including mango and kiwi, along with dried fig and almond. A touch of minerals and ground spices.
A wine with depth, but also honed with precise harmony. Voluptuously ample with subtle nuances of exotic mint tea, lime, kumquat, and candied ginger. A long, echoing finish. Can be held until 2035!
